| Bio : | Kent Heckaman is a composer, producer, and musician born and raised in Indiana. Beginning at the age of 9, Kent studied classical piano for 10 years and then jazz composition for 5 years. Today, Kent Heckaman Productions is involved with producing and composing music that has been used in film, TV, and of course the occasional record album. Kent is not a singer/songwriter, rather a musician/songwriter/producer who seeks to collaborate with world-class vocalists and instrumentalists wherever they may be, more often in Chicago, Nashville, and at his current studio outside of metro Washington, DC. Kent's productions are influenced by music from early Elton John, Pink Floyd, and Brian Eno; and more recently by Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Suzanne Vega and many others. Kent’s second album "Songs From Those Days", released in 2008, has drawn from these varied influences, and features vocalists Kate Myers, Heather Horton, Lindsay Bloom, and Karin Bergquist (vocalist from Over The Rhine).
