What's the best way to promote your latest album?  Radio?  Magazines?  Newspapers?  No!  YOU are your best promotion.  Touring your record trumps every other promotional tool out there.  If you have a record label, they still may not have the deepest pockets to promote your album to your liking.  So the best way to sell records is to get out there and play!!

It's vital to expand your horizons when promoting your album, so think regional instead of just local.  Setting up shows in regional cities will bring you new fans and new publicity opportunities.  Trust me, it's worth the effort.  Scheduling a gig in a city will garner you more attention from their local press than just sending in your CD for a review.

You play music for a living, so don't wait for your album to take off before you hit the road.  Gas up the van, book the gigs and do what you do best - PLAY MUSIC!
