Live Music - Big Sound or Unplugged

As I've mentioned in previous blogs, I'm a big fan of live music and probably attend more concerts than is healthy for my pocketbook.  I was talking with a friend the other day about live show preferences and wanted to get everyone's opinion here on YouMusic.com.

When you go to a concert, do you prefer the full-on concert productions with lights, speakers and electronics galore?  Or do you like the stripped down, intimate, "unplugged" experiences?  In different ways, I like both and have seen plenty of both.  But if I had to choose one, nothing beats songs sung in their raw element, completely stripped down to focus on the meaning of the song.  It creates more depth, more intimacy, more connection.

If you had your choice of concerts to attend, even by the same musician or band, would you choose the big sound or the stripped down?
