It may have been "nothing but a good time" to start for Poison frontman and Rock of Love star Bret Michaels as he performed the band's hit song in an opening montage at the Tony Awards. But it quickly turned into a bad time for the rocker, as he soaked up the cheers a wee bit too long, missed his mark and ran smack dab into the lowering backdrop. You can watch Bret get bulldozed, Broadway-style, here.
Sadly, the song was lip-synched, although I'm not sure why since Poison can still rock out even if they are past their prime. Unfortunately for Bret, there was nothing fake about that scenery backdrop. Ouch.
Although early reports stated that he did not break his nose, the AP wire is stating that Bret suffered a fractured nose and needed three stitches in his lip. Nonetheless, he kept his sense of humor and was laughing backstage at host Neil Patrick Harris' joke that he "gave head banging a whole new meaning."
