| Bio : | We are DNA a duo consisting of 2 guitar players Dave Wingo and Ansel Bickerton. We focus our show on the good guitarists of the past and present. Ansel is classically trained and Dave has played for years with local and nationally known groups. Dave performed in the tri-state area for 20 years with a well known Pittsburgh show band called The Memories. In 1995 the group disbanded as several members went on to national acts including Dave. Two of the members joined The Marcel’s and two of the members joined the nationally known group The Vogues. In Dave’s 15 years with The Vogues he has done shows with many of the national acts of the time. In 2001 he played with The Vogues at their induction into the rock group vocal hall of fame. He has played with various national bands, when they were in the Pittsburgh area. The last big show he performed was at the Melon Arena with Little Anthony and other Doo Wop groups in December of 2008. He has decided to strike out on his own to showcase his talent on the guitar. He teamed up with Ansel to start this new project. They are both also guitar teachers in the Mon-Valley area. We just completed two new CD’s, both of which saw some local radio airplay. | |
